Trevor Thornton is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, where he studied music at the Blair School of Music for five years of high school. Trevor received his Bachelor’s of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Missouri—Kansas City in the spring, and he is now pursuing his Master’s of Music. He is a student of Dr. Robert Weirich and of Dr. Dianne Petrella. Trevor was fortunate enough to play in master classes with Frank Weinstock, Alan Chow, Dr. Jane Magrath, Shai Wosner, and Shiela Kibbe during his college years. In addition, he attended the Aspen Music Festival in the summer of 2012, the Classical Music Festival (Eisenstadt, Austria) in the summer of 2013, and he returned to the Aspen Music Festival during the summer of 2014. Thornton teaches piano privately, and aspires to gain as much teaching experience as possible before continuing on to pursue further degrees.
